Hackers Help: Adhesive for TROFAST LEGO hack

I recently saw an awesome LEGO hack where someone made a LEGO table from the LACK table by attaching the TROFAST rails and bins underneath the table. I was super excited because our TROFAST storage combination unit came with extra rails.

The hack mentioned to use Loctite Stik ‘n Seal as the adhesive to attach the rails. We don’t seem to have this in Australia. I tried to find something equivalent but no success. I used Loctite Super Glue Power Flex but it was a disaster. The rails just came off. See picture.

Any advice from someone who has done this hack in Australia or knows a product/method here that would work to attach the TROFAST rails under the LACK table?

Thanks,

Hi Nicola

It really sucks when you can get what you need because of location.

I found a similar LEGO table that uses the TROFAST rails and bins here. Instead of glue, Vineta used heavy duty double sided tape. She chose the Gorilla brand but I think brands like 3M are pretty good too if you can’t find Gorilla Mounting Tape where you live.

Another piece of good news, I managed to find Loctite Stik ‘n Seal while browsing the Amazon Australia site. The product is sold by Amazon AU, so shipping it shouldn’t be a problem.

Good luck on your LACK LEGO hack.

Happy hacking,

Jules
