The site is undergoing a redesign and the first thing to change is our logo.
We’ve had this for donkeys years now and it has served its purpose but frankly, I’m glad it’s finally gone. The paper peel is getting a tad old.
And now … ta-dah!
Courtesy of Massimo Filippi, who offered to create a new logo for me and have some fun in the process. I really like what the Czech agency came up with. They took the essence of IKEA hacking and made it visual. The 4 alphabets — I, K, E and A — not remaining what they are supposed to be but constantly morphing into new configurations, shapes and colours. Brilliant, isn’t it? They came up with 24 variations, probably a lot more if we wanted. The above are my 5 favourite combos.
To have a .gif in the header would be crazy distracting, so I’m leaving the logo static for the moment. The plan is to have the logo take on a new combination with every page refresh. I’m not sure how that will work out, so, fingers crossed.
In the meantime, I’m collecting feedback and your wish list for the IKEAhackers site redesign. Just drop a comment. I’m listening.
